Clarion Housing have taken over the project to demolish the Blenheim Centre in Penge, and replace it with a series of tower blocks which are totally inappropriate for a low rise Victorian high street. This proposal is even worse than the original - there will be virtually no retail space, inferior materials will be used, and the flats are likely to be built to a very low standard, as the entire project will now be social housing. In effect,the Blenheim Centre replacement wil
